My Father, the Star...

Well, Tony is pretty reserved, to say the least. Everything has a place in his little universe. Well, almost everything. Frivolity is not super high on the list. So i was pleasantly surprised to find out this tiny bit-o-frivolity on his resume...

Tony was indeed in a movie!!! Pshahh... I know! It is called, On Any Sunday. The film is a documentary about motorcycle racers, doin' what they do. And while my father is not the ACTUAL star, he's got a small cameo, drag racing at the Lyon Race Track, he's in a flippin' movie, and I, his one and only child never knew. Oy. Anywho. It's a Bruce Brown film, and Bruce Brown is a Wilson High alum! I mean really, the same Wilson High School in which I am an alum. What a world. Oh, and the movie's tag line... Take a trip at 265 mph... Awesome!

It's and interesting thing... my dad has all of this information, almost sixty two years of life and adventure and such. And I'm still, scratch that, starting to learn about it all. And when my dad shares information, it really is a big deal. You know, he's the private type... "Cause if everyone knows about everything it's just not as important." Well, not too sure if I wholeheartedly agree with that... but it sure is food for thought.

Tony and Triumph

PS... The film that my father, the star was in... totally nominated for an oscar. Best Documentary of 1971, unfortunately the film was not the winner. Pish posh, it probably would have been way too much press for old Tony. Definitely.
